Its hard to imagine the modern world without yellow school buses and large public schools. However at a time not that long ago this didn’t exist. So in its absence what would education look like?

Episode 91. Children and private property.

This is a central issue to Libertarianism, when something belongs to someone then that property has to be taken care off and if harmed then there is a victim. But if no one one owns something then there isn’t really a reason to take care of it or to have a victim if the property is harmed. If the oceans were owned by someone then they would be taken better are off. This also applies to parenting where I give my kids certain special toys that are theirs and they can make an automatic claim on if another kid is playing with them. This will teach them about the importance of taking care of their own stuff and respecting each others private property.

Episode 32. Why I Vaccinated My Kids. The World Is Your Oyster

A number of people I have run into are against vaccinations. I am for vaccinations, the primary reason is not that if you don’t get your kid will die (cause that is very unlikely) but those disease can cause alot of other issues. Also I discuss entrpeneurship and why it is so very important.

Being a parent of kids is challenging and maybe even tougher in some ways today then in the past. One of the tough things to deal with is kids using not so great language, however I am not to worried about that part. If kids are exposed to it, it can be like a vaccination for future usage. Also what king of items should you buy once, versus buying a cheap version and buying another in the future?

Episode 9. What is open ended play?

Growing up I lived  in a neighborhood where I could play all day and run around the neighborhood. As I got older and moved to other neighborhoods this changed. I had lot of toys too  which were great and they were all meant to be used with your imagination. However there were one or two that were very limited in play and they would really frustrate me. It wasn’t until I got a lot older did I realize what the problem was them. It was non open ended play. In this episode I discuss what this is and why it is not good for your children.
