Growing up my parents did not have a lot of money. This has framed my thinking for the rest of my life. It took me from a spending mentality to a desire to save and be financially independent. By the time I reach 40 I wanted to have over 100,000 in assets and by the time I hit 60 I want to be completely financially independent. Whether this happens or not would depend on me and my goals, it also may not happen but I am going to try.
In my quest to achieve these goals I thought it might be a good idea to share some of my thoughts on getting there, libertarianism and raising children.
I believe that liberty is the ideal that one should strive for in a society. It is to be free and responsible for ones actions. This same can be applied to raising children too.
Raising children is a strenuous task. You will have many sleepless nights. You will feel terrible as a parent when they cry or are sick. You will get more angry then you have ever been with any one. However at the end of the day it is one of the greatest privileges one can. These are little humans who know you and love you unconditionally. They love everything you do for them and nothing beats getting hugs when you walk through the door.
I update my podcast 3 times a week and I hope that my writings will help you gain insight and think about the way you invest and raise your kids.
